The Tampa Bay Lightning have released their 2022-23 regular season schedule, which will begin on October 12th at home against the New York Rangers. The Lightning will play their first 10 games of the season at home, including a matchup with the defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche on October 22nd.
The Lightning will play a total of 82 games during the regular season, including 41 home games and 41 road games. They will face each of the other 31 teams in the NHL at least twice, and will play some of their toughest competition within the Atlantic Division, including the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Florida Panthers.
The Lightning are coming off of a disappointing playoff exit in the second round, but they are still one of the favorites to win the Stanley Cup this season. They have a talented roster led by Nikita Kucherov, Steven Stamkos, and Andrei Vasilevskiy, and they should be a force to be reckoned with all season long.
