Hundreds of Demonstrators Converge in Downtown Milwaukee

Progressive and Leftist Groups Protest RNC

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Hundreds of demonstrators converged on downtown Milwaukee on Monday to protest the Republican National Convention (RNC). A wide range of organizations and activists gathered in a downtown park outside the Fiserv Forum security perimeter to listen to speeches and express their opposition to the RNC and its presumptive nominee, Donald Trump.

The RNC began Monday with a protest march outside Fiserv Forum as progressive and leftist groups marched through the streets of downtown Milwaukee. The marchers held signs and chanted slogans against Trump and the Republican Party.

As tens of thousands of Republicans arrive in Milwaukee for their party's convention, another large gathering of anti-Trump protesters is expected. The demonstrators are expected to hold a variety of protests and events throughout the week.
